Giving in Motion 2020

Giving in Motion is a health and wellness challenge done in collaboration with the Language Studies Academic Society (LSAS), Teaching and Education Studies Association (TESA), and Étudiants Francophones de UTM. The challenge ran from February 12, 2020 to March 12, 2020.

The purpose of Giving in Motion is to bring UTM students together to engage in a Heath and Wellness Challenge and collectively reach 2000 Community Points. A point was earned for working towards improving your mind, body, and soul. For each point, a donation was made to support vulnerable local families and to build a school dormitory for girls in Uganda.

Students were able to participate on a team or individually. They committed 20-40 hours of wellbeing, fitness and/or community service. 1 point is earned per hour of activity and additional points for completing weekly challenges.

Thanks to the active participation of students, the goal of 2000 Community Points was achieved. Those who made this possible were given a wellness basket on behalf of our appreciation and their time and dedication.
